The year is almost over...

Hi there!

Well it's that time of year again when we are trying to round up all of your textbooks and teaching materials so that you don't get any nasty bills from us! You would have noticed that in your pigeon hole you received a list of all items that are checked out to you and when they are/were due. If you need to renew anything because you would like it over the holidays, that is absolutely fine, but if you don't need it anymore it would be awesome if you could return it all before you go on your much deserved holidays.
Please come in and see us to renew your items, or send me an email. If you think that something is lost, come and talk to me and we will see what we can work out.

Term 4 already! Time has flown..

Well, we had our hiccups with the blog but I have the word that it is up and running now and that you are able to access it from all computers in the school.
School holidays have been extremely busy for us here in the library, and one of the big things I have been working on for you is the new set up for Teacher Resources. All Teacher Resources now have a coloured dot on their spine which indicates what category they are in. I have placed some charts amongst the shelves to help you with this new system, and I hope that it makes life easier for you because that was certainly the intention. I hope you all had a great break and that this short term treats you well!

Welcome to Term 3...

Hi Guys,

Welcome back and good luck for Term 3. You'll see a few changes in the library this term...I have moved all of the teaching kits back in with the Teacher Resources, because I think people often forget that we have them. Now, when you are looking for a certain topic, you might see a kit in amongst the books and hopefully this will inspire you to be creative and try something different! The Teacher Resource collection is slowly getting more organised, and by the end of the term I hope to have it looking good and with all resources much easier to find.

On the right hand side of this page you will see a couple of lists...one with links to useful websites for you as teachers, and one with suggested teacher resources you may not know that we have in the library. If you ever find great websites that you want to share with others, please let me know and I can post it on this blog.

 Most importantly, however, you will find a countdown timer until the next holidays, so even if you find nothing else useful on this blog, you might want to know exactly how long it is until your next break..... :)

Welcome to the blog!

Well, this is my first post on the new blog...it is school holidays so it is a little bit quieter in the library than usual, and I have the time to play around and try to get this up and running. It is obviously quite basic at the moment, but I hope that as time progresses it will improve. I hope that this is a place you can just drop into to see what's happening with the library, what new teacher resources we have, and anything else we can offer you at any point in time. :)
